Joe studied art at Ohio State University and received his B.F.A degree in 1973. He was employed by The Ohio State University IT group from 1975 until 2009, at which time he retired with 34 years of service.

Joe works primarily in oil, acrylic, and watercolor. His subject matter is landscapes, birds, and wildlife, often focusing on natural scenes near his home in Dublin, Ohio.  Joe is a memeber of two local art leagues and his work has been shown at the Would You Could You Gallery in Yellow Springs, Ohio, and in other venues. In addition to being an artist, Joe is also a musician, performing guitar and vocal duets with his wife Joanne and other area musicians. Three CDs are in circulation—Love is Enough, Even More Love, and Love Is.
